Since I’m a bug, everyone always asks me, “What bugs you?” The obvious is sock seams, but I’m a deeper bug than that. Itchy sweaters bother me, mean people, and most of all cauliflower. No matter how many times I try it, I hate it. (No offense to all the cauliflower lovers out there). Itchy sweaters are also the worst. I have sensory issues so sweaters that feel like I am in a ball of scratchy wool are not my favorite. Mean people are also not at the top of my list. I think everyone needs to be treated with respect regardless of any condition. That’s what bugs me. It might not be what you expected, but my mom raised me to be an honest bug.

My Almost Famous, Crazy Life
Now that I have introduced myself, I want to introduce you to my crazy life. I briefly mentioned before that I am the face of SmartKnitKIDS and my scheduled is riddled with guest appearances. Although I am currently not on the talk show circuit, I do make some headlines. (If anyone has an in with the talk show circuit, please let me know. I dream of seeing my name in lights! I would also settle for the name of a movie producer) I like to think of myself as a young Jodi Foster, except that I am a bug and not on the Coppertone bottle, but that’s beside the point. I plan on launching my career with SmartKnitKIDS, but I may stay there forever; I love socks.
SmartKnitKIDS Seamless Socks are great. I know that you’re thinking I’m just a little, tiny bit biased, but they are good socks. They’re completely seamless. 100% totally seam-free and they gently hug your foot so you don’t have wrinkles or bunches in your sock. They’re great for kids who hate socks seams, have Sensory Processing Disorder or Autism. I love that about the socks; they help kids and that makes me smile. If you don’t believe me, that’s understandable so see what other Moms are saying.
I love my life as a spokesman. I think it would be dull otherwise. Talking to therapists, moms, and anyone else who will listen to my rantings is exciting and always changing. My life isn’t wholly about socks though. I spend much of my time with family and friends. I am also in the process of knitting the world’s biggest sock (ok, my life might be all about socks). I’ll keep everyone updated on its progression.
Well, I’m late for a photo shoot and have to ska-doodle, but I’ll be sure to find pictures of my giant sock!

1st Post Ever!

Before I begin to utterly and completely delve into the blog world, I want to introduce myself. I am green, I’m 4 feet tall, I weigh 75 pounds and I live in a mound of dirt. Now, I know that may sound strange and a little weird to some, but that’s who I am. I am an ant named Bugsley.
I am a protector, a guardian and a hero if I do say so myself. (I like to think I’m a hero anyway) I protect toes from icky seams and I guard feet from lumps and bumps. I like to think that I’m making people lives easier. I sound like I have a complex….but I do wish I could wear a cape.
My hobbies include knitting, digging, stealing food, smiling and dancing. I love to knit, especially socks. You’ll always see me with a pair of socks on my feet; my tootsies get cold. I also love to dance in my socks. It goes without saying that all my socks are seamless. I hate seams just as much as the next guy or ant.
My professional life is hectic. I am the face of SmartKnitKIDS. I must make sure all the socks going out with my picture on them really don’t have a seam and won’t cause lumps or bumps. (It’s my reputation, right?) That means I spend my hours between photo shoots and celebrity guest appearances inspecting socks. I guarantee that no sock leaves our headquarters uninspected. I don’t sleep much, but we ants don’t need much rest.
That’s me in a nutshell and there will be much more to come! Socks, sensitivities, autism, life, being and ant, and all the other exciting things that happen in my daily life! I look forward to wiggling my antennae with you and sharing lots of laughs and information!
